On January 1, 2027, Kerry Swanson will begin a new chapter as she retires after a lifetime dedicated to serving others.

For more than two decades, Kerry has led with compassion, integrity, and an unwavering belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right. Whether as a leader, mentor, colleague, advocate, or friend, she has touched countless lives. She has inspired people to think bigger, serve more deeply, and never lose sight of the people behind every decision.

Throughout her career, Kerry has always said she wanted to change the world.

As CEO of HealthNet of Rock County, she found a place where that vision became reality. Every day, HealthNet provides medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare to individuals and families who might otherwise go without. Through Kerry's leadership, dedication, and relentless commitment to the community, HealthNet has continued to be a place of hope, healing, and dignity for thousands of people.

As Kerry prepares to retire, the HealthNet Board of Directors is forming a search committee to identify the organization's next leader, ensuring the mission she has championed continues to thrive for years to come.

Reflecting on Kerry's remarkable leadership, Board President Don Handrow shared:

"We are starting our search for the next CEO of HealthNet with a near impossible task—replacing Kerry. She has been a rock for HealthNet for many years as an advisor, Board President and now CEO. Her reach in the healthcare community is not just Rock County but respected in all corners of the healthcare community. We could not have asked for a better CEO to guide HealthNet over the past three years. Kerry leaves us and our community in a far better place; our future is bright thanks to her."

As Kerry steps away from her career, she isn't asking for gifts, awards, or personal recognition.

Instead, she has one final wish.

If Kerry has ever encouraged you, mentored you, challenged you, supported you, worked alongside you, or made a difference in your life, please honor her retirement by making a gift to HealthNet.

Your donation is more than a tribute to Kerry. It is an investment in the future she has worked so hard to build—a future where every person, regardless of income or circumstance, has access to quality healthcare.

There is perhaps no more fitting way to celebrate Kerry's remarkable career than by ensuring her life's work continues through the patients and families HealthNet serves every day.

Thank you, Kerry, for your leadership, your compassion, and your belief that one person truly can make the world a better place.

In honor of Kerry's retirement on January 1, 2027, please consider making a donation to HealthNet of Rock County and help continue the mission that has meant so much to her.
